A certified Sommelier, Heather has been a professional in the food & beverage industry for 15 years with an expertise in; bar consulting, craft cocktails, menu design, healthy recipes, event production and brand marketing.
After several years selling and marketing luxury spirits to top accounts in Los Angeles, Heather founded Black LAB Ventures, a boutique luxury mixology event and consulting company with an eco-conscious mind. Black LAB curated bars for celebrity weddings and events, gaining national recognition with mentions in Martha Stewart & US Magazine. Black LAB restaurant consulting services created bar programs to fit a variety of establishments including Ford’s Filling Station (owned by Ben Ford, Harrison Ford’s son), Los Balcones Peruvian cuisine and Tom’s Urban, a massive Staples Centers Brew Pub with 40+ beers on tap.
Earning her Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from e-Cornell, Heather is obsessed with fresh healthy ingredients and consults natural food and beverage products on marketing strategy and recipe development. She was the resident mixologist on Playboy Radio and Man Seeks Adventure podcasts and was writer and host of The MixDown a cocktail series on Complex TV pairing craft cocktails and EDM music. Heather’s craft cocktail recipes have been featured in Chilled Magazine, The Event Planners Association and Sweet Paul’s Kitchen.
