The Boston Cup Car Show
The Boston Cup
I was a celebrity guest and judge at The Boston Cup, located in the Boston Commons park in downtown Boston. The Boston Commons is the oldest public park in America and it’s a beautiful location to celebrate a shared passion for rare classic cars. The old circular bandstand in the center of the park is the perfect stage for the awards ceremony and I was given the opportunity to present a Heather Storm Award. After walking around talking to the owners of some extraordinary vehicles, my heart was drawn to the Lucerne Aqua Caddy owned by US Navy veteran Laurie Kraynick. Laurie found this beautiful 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham on Craigslist 7 years ago, it’s a carbon copy of the Cadillac her father use to drive when she was a child, so it’s a tribute to him. The car is numbers matching, original color and the back and front passenger seats, carpet and door panels are all original. I love that Laurie feels her parents with her when she sits in her car, I can completely relate.
my choice award: Laurie Kraynick’s 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
